for Health Departments

Our Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Program for Health Departments is funded by the CDC to assist health departments nationally in building their capacity to implement high impact HIV prevention programs.  Our areas of emphasis are HIV testing, prevention with persons living with HIV, as well as prevention with persons who are at high risk for acquiring HIV.

The University of Rochester - CHBT's CBA program is available to assist heatlh departments with HIV Testing and HIV Prevention services by:

  • Developing and organizing face-to-face training and techinical assistance (TA) events, webinars and resources customized to the unique needs of your health department and grantees
  • Offering technical consultation and TA using the preferred modality of your health department team
  • Linking health departments with other health departments in order to share ideas, tools, resources, best practices and solutions

Each of these types of services has a unique impact on health departments, and ultimately on the US HIV epidemic
